The Mountain & The Lowlands
Time: Morning
Texts: Isaiah 2
Series: Isaiah
The Bible is rich with imagery of God meeting His people on the mountain—from the Garden of Eden, which some view as a high place, to Mount Sinai, and ultimately to the Mount of Olives. Yet, sinful humanity often gravitates toward the lowlands, avoiding the presence of a holy God. Why does life on the mountain represent something better? Why are sinful hearts drawn to the shadowy valleys instead? Where did God originally intend for humanity to dwell, and what hope do we have of being restored to that place in the future?
