In chapters 1-5 we are given an introduction into the book of Isaiah and what it is about. In Chapter 6 God prepares Isaiah for what will be his lifelong task as God's prophet. This vision reveals God's truth about Himself and Isaiah. God is truth and in him is no lie. Sinful man represses the knowledge that God is the source of all truth and seek to create their own. This path will lead to their demise as their society descends into chaos and destruction. This is seen in the nation of Israel. What is Isaiah's response to the revelation of God and His truth? Was there hope for Israel after falling so far? Is their hope for us today?
