Sermon on July 3, 2022
Feast on the Goodness of God
Time: Morning
Texts: Psalm 34
The Lord is to be praised at all times, in every season of life, in good times and bad. Who are to give God praise? It is the lowly, the downtrodden, the poor, the needy, the afflicted and the insignificant who are to offer God their praise. Why are we to praise Him? The psalmist tell us that the Lord is good and is near to the brokenhearted and those whose spirit is crushed. David knew affliction and what is was to be overlooked in favor of others. Yet he tells us to look away from himself and look to the Lord. For God's eyes see us! God's ears hear us! Listen to hear the ultimate reason for us to praise the Lord.
