Jesus stands before Pilate innocent of any wrong doing. He does not defend himself. He opens not his mouth. When Pilate asks who shall be released as is the custom at Passover. The cry goes up "Barabbas"! A rebel, a criminal and a murderer. Jesus who did no wrong with take his place on the cross and Barabbas will go free. So it is with all those for who Christ died.
